Women Build is a program that empowers women to build Habitat for Humanity homes, enabling them to create a positive impact on children and their families by making home ownership a reality. Lowe's partners with Women Build and Habitat for Humanity by challenging and enabling women through support such as grants and how-to-clinics.
The first Women Build for the Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity was completed in May 2015 in the Lake Arrowhead Community in Stafford County. Our second home began construction in Dec. 2015/Jan. 2016 and was built in honor of Ms. Barbara Geslock.
Your support of building materials, funds, and/or food for build days would be greatly appreciated and serve as help to a deserving family. We would love to have you help us by joining our task force and providing any skills and tools you may have. You can also help by coming out on build days, help with grant writing, promotional needs, fundraising opportunities, and other activities.
