Who We Are
Welcome! This program is for anyone who is interested in accumulating volunteer hours for court related community service.
If you are a volunteer who has been ordered by the court or legal system to fulfill a required number of hours, OR if you are accumulating hours in advance of your court date at the advice of your attorney, probation officer, etc., you've come to the right place!
In order to receive an official letter on Greater Fredericksburg Habitat for Humanity letterhead, you must acquire hours within our court-related community service process. If you begin accumulating hours without going through the proper paperwork with us, you will not be eligible to receive an official letter.
When you signed up on Galaxy, you should have answered "yes" to the question asking about court-related volunteering. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch via email, based on your "yes" response, to give you the correct paperwork and begin the process.
If you answered that question mistakenly, it's okay. Just send our Volunteer Coordinator an email, informing us that you need court-related hours, and we'll get you the correct paperwork to get into the program.
Once your formal background check clears and you are accepted into the program, you have the same responsibilities as any other volunteer. You have access to the same system and can sign up for tasks as you please, like any other volunteer. No one except a select few staff members who manage Galaxy Digital will be aware that your volunteering service is court-ordered.
